London provides the tourist with a

The most common London attractions are
those which surround the British monarchy. Places such as William The Conqueror's watch
tower, The Tower of London (home to the Crown Jewels), Kensington Palace and Buckingham
Palace are a frequent stop for many tourists. Saint Paul's Cathedral and Westminster Abbey
are also worth taking a look around as are The British and Natural History museums.
If it is gardens you are interested in then why not visit the Royal Botanic Gardens in Kew
where more than 300 acres of gardens and glasshouses contain plant specimens collected
from all over the world.
Tourists can visit Greenwich, home of
the National Maritime Museum, which has a wide range of boats, models and art, and the
Cutty Sark, a preserved sailing ship which was once recognised throughout the world. If
you like that then perhaps you will want to visit Tower Bridge, which has a visitor's
centre where it is explained how the bridge is raised to allow tall ships up the river.
The more modern attractions, such as the Thames Barrier Visitor's Centre is a fascinating
look at how London is protected from flooding. The recently opened Millennium Dome and The
London Eye (the London "Big Wheel" ) are also a must for the London tourist
combining the spectacular views from the "Wheel" and the variety of things to do
